BIOGRAPHYEDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS

As an undergraduate student at SUNY Stonybrook, Olivia didn’t know she was going to be an attorney. It wasn’t until a professor made the recommendation that she knew it was the profession for her. It started as a professor’s suggestion, but it became so much more. As she excelled in law school, she realized more and more the positive impact she could make through the legal profession. While in law school, Olivia won a state prize for an article she co-authored on employee rights under Title VII.

Olivia came to Franks Gerkin Ponitz Greeley with an extensive background in civil litigation with particular emphasis in banking, real estate, creditors’ rights and family law. She spent 10 years representing major financial institutions throughout the State of Illinois and has handled thousands of foreclosures since 2005.

Prior to moving to Illinois, Olivia held positions with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services and the Legal Aid Society – Juvenile Rights Division.

As an attorney at Franks Gerkin Ponitz Greeley, Olivia loves the clients, attorneys, and courtroom officials she gets to work with each and every day. Her favorite part of her job is that she gets to meet new people every day.

She is extremely passionate about helping a client navigate the complexity of the law. From years and years of school, and a plethora of experiences, she knows just how complicated the law is. Olivia is and always will be an advocate for her clients, wanting to be there for them every step of the process.

When she isn’t in the Marengo office or in the courtroom, she is very involved in her children’s activities. From scouting to sports, her two children keep her busy. Olivia and her family are frequent visitors of the library and the zoo.
