McHenry County Crash – Early on Friday, July 13, 2018, two men were killed in a car accident which involved a semi-truck. According to police, the crash occurred in Dunham Township, which is in the northwest suburban area of McHenry County.
The accident happened around 2:30 am on Friday, July 13th.
A 2003 Toyota Prius driven north by a 48-year-old man in the 2000 block of N Rte 23 crossed the road’s center line. The reason for the crossing is unknown at this time. When the Prius crossed the line, it struck a semi-truck head-on, according to the Sheriff’s Office of McHenry County.
Both the 48-year-old driver of the Toyota Prius, and the 18-year-old male passenger were killed in the collision. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Details of the fatalities have not yet been released by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
